Used my lunch break to do a quick and dirty site migration from Joomla 1 to 1.5.  Managed to migrate all of the content, comments, and added community builder and facebook connect functionality with jconnect.  More experimentation is what this is.  Check it out at:  http://dannyandeliza.com/V2 .

Update:  Since I don't want to update two sites constantly, I am going to put this page into a static state.  All updates will be on V2.

For the RSS users out there, the new feed is here .

Something wonderful happens when you take Tabasco and liberally shake it on top of cold pizza.  It's like peanut butter and jelly.  Chinese broccoli and beef.  Kimchi and bread.  I just wished that a mosquito was around to bite me while I was having lunch.

AdSense PDF Print E-mail

In an attempt to stay in the know of how things work, I've sumitted an application to get an AdSense account for this website.  I really don't plan on making any money from this.  It's mostly curiousity.  AdSense works by paying the site owner a small percentage based on ads that are clicked or viewed.  On average, this tiny blog gets about two hundred visits a month.  That's an infinitessimal small spec on the back of the lion turtle that is the internet.  I would need thousands of visits a month to cover the site hosting fees.  I would need hundreds of thousands to make any real money.  I would need hundreds of millions to quit my day job.  So yeah, this isn't about the money.

Several days ago, Eliza bought a scone from Starbucks on her way home.  It was a hectic day, and so just as she came home, we had to go out and run some errands.  Sadly, the scone was left at home.  It met a horrible end as it was eviscerated by our feline children.  It's delicate crumbs were unceremoniously scattered about the kitchen floor.  This tale, I related to Grace.  She took pity on my story and decided to make it all better.

She dropped by just now and dropped off a bag full of fresh from the oven scones.  Still warm, the delicate nature of them is made all the better.  The dried cherries are like small drops of jam, surrounded by fluffy crumbly scone goodness.

I know, you wish you were me right now.
